Sep 28, 2024: I’m updating this challenge to have stricter rules. Previously, I was doing quite well, except for some books purchased or gifted while traveling. But so many of the books I was reading were library books. I wish to make a bigger dent in the books I own at home.
New rules
- I will read physical books I own already.
- For every 3 books read OR 5 books donated, I may buy 1 new book.
- DNFs do count, if I’ve given the book the old college try.
- Finishing a previously started book also counts.
- Exceptions: Books for Reading the World, books received as gifts, and books purchased for work, cooking, or health (i.e. “self-improvement”).
Completed books
- Kokoro
- A Doll’s House and Other Plays
